2009 Topps Platinum Football
Its products like 2009 Topps Platinum Football that make me a really pissed off at the NFL for discontinuing Topps’ football card license. But I first heard about Topps platinum I wasn’t exactly impressed as a looked a bit too much like Topps finest. While that may be true to some degree all in all it is a hell of a lot of fun to open and provides premium Pop at a mid-level price point. With three guaranteed autographs per box, including one autographed rookie patch, you can rest assured that you’re to be walking away with something of substance after breaking a box of Topps Platinum.
I wonder how long it takes the NFL to realize the magnitude of their error. I mean they allowed panini, to whom football means the silly European kick-fest that we rightly know as soccer, but let the longest standing most recognizable (and American) football card manufacturer walked just like that.
