Box No-Break
I am really confused by this new phenomenon where collectors pay for sports card boxes and ask other people to break them for them on video. This just seems so stupid to me. Isn’t breaking the box the most fun part of the whole experience? Or am I off base here?
The most frequent source of these kinds of videos is Cards Infinity. Just check out their youtube page and you will find literally hundreds of these kinds of box breaks. Some guys will throw down more then a grand only to have someone else enjoy the box break first hand while they look on as a 3rd party observer.
I don’t blame the people who performs the breaks or anything, I just don’t understand why someone would pay for them to rip sports cards boxes. The videos are ok but there is certainly nothing special about them. All I can think of is that these people are teens who are doing it because its the ‘cool’ thing to do. That makes me sound like an old man but I just can’t for the life of me understand this.
